Trend Alert: The 20 Most Stunning Bridal Capelets

30 Jul 2016 Posted by trubridal in Wedding Accessories

We’re obsessed with the trend for bridal capes (thanks Solange!) and we’re so excited that the look has made it off the catwalks and onto the stylish shoulders of real brides in the form of gorgeous, wearable cover-ups.

Super chic, and oh-so-practical too, check out our pick of beautiful bridal capelets with our resident wedding attire aficionado, Bené Eaton.

The 20 Most Stunning Bridal Capelets | Bridal Musings Wedding Blog

After swooning over the gorgeous dresses at this spring’s New York Bridal Market and following Elizabeth’s front row musings during this year’s Barcelona Bridal Week, it became clear that a few fashion trends definitely reined supreme.

My favorite trend from this year’s catwalks? Two words—bridal cape. The dramatic cape-like gowns displayed in the Jenny Packham and Pronovias 2016 collections won me over and convinced me that the bridal cape is here to stay.

If you love the look of a cape but aren’t quite sure about donning one on your big day, a bridal capelet is a fabulous alternative. A capelet can polish off any dress (as seen in the Ivy & Aster 2016 collection), and it’s also the perfect cover-up for a more traditional wedding or for an evening affair.

I’ve put together a list of the 20 most stunning bridal capelets. If you’re looking to add the final touch to your Wedding Dress, you must take a peek below.

How To Wear A Bra Under Any Outfit — These 12 Weird (But Genius) Styles Got It Covered

How To Wear A Bra Under Any Outfit — These 12 Weird (But Genius) Styles Got It Covered

If you’re like me when you’re shopping, certain items, like off-the-shoulder tops and backless dresses, instantly catch your eye — only to leave you confused as to what the heck to wear underneath them. For anyone not into going au naturel, it’s worth taking a look at the weird (and just plain genius) bras you can wear under any outfit.

Though the #freethenips life can be especially liberating and works for plenty of people, I like having a variety of coverage-lending, supportive bras on hand to sport underneath whatever skin-showing pieces I want. If you’re an active person who loves breaking a sweat outside in warmer weather, consider checking out the detailed sports bra that’s the perfect combination of stylish and practical — you can stay cool by wearing it on its own, or underneath barely-there fitness tops. If you love wearing flow-y, boho style dresses in the summer that often show a gorgeous amount of skin, a lace bralette with underwire adds a pretty layer underneath with more support than the typical wire-free bralettes. Read on, snag yourself a few of these game-changing bras, and forever solve your biggest revealing wardrobe dilemma.

Adhesive Backless & Strapless Bra For Back-Baring Dresses

Komene Ultrafine Backless Strapless Bra (Sizes A-D), $16-$20, Amazon

This stick-on bra uses a strong adhesive to stay in place, while its sharply angled shape creates an extra-secure fit — providing comfort and support without the need of straps or a back. It’s a completely smooth and seamless bra, so you won’t need to worry about readjusting pokey edges throughout the night under your favorite barely-there top. Users give this bra top ratings for having adhesive that doesn’t let up, even on chest sizes that are bigger than a D-cup. Pro Tip: Hand wash this bra and air dry to keep the adhesive intact.

Reusable Silicone Pasties For Barely There Coverage

Nippies Silicone Nipple Cover Pasties, $25, Amazon

These nude silicone nipple pasties are great for days when you don’t want to wear a bra, but you need to smooth things out underneath your outfit. The reusable stick-ons are so invisible that you’ll forget you have them on, but you won’t have to worry about them falling off while you’re moving around at a concert or event. Bonus: They come in light, medium, and dark skin tones, so they can match a diverse set of beautiful skin tones.

Seamless U-Plunge Bra For Showing A Little Cleavage

Fashion Forms Seamless U Plunge Bra (Sizes 34B-38D), $10-$28, Amazon

If you’re going to a special event and you’re ready to look amazing (but don’t want a cleavage malfunction in your new gown) — snag this U-Plunge brathat offers natural shape and lift with seamless padded cups. As an added bonus, this bra has straps that can be converted to fit your specific dress, whether it’s conventional, halter, or criss-cross. One user raved about this bra as one of the first she’s found that doesn’t dig in or fit awkwardly on her 34DD’s.

Bra Strap Converters For Turning Any Bra Into A Low-Back Bra

Low Back Bra Strap Converter (3-Pack), $10, Amazon

For tops or dresses with low-cut backs, these strap converters make it possible to wear your favorite traditional bra — but transform it into a no-show style. They take the bra you already love, pushing it lower on your back. Pro Tip: To wear these straps, simply attach the hook to the back of the bra and bring it to the front of your waist to fasten. This pack comes with three clear strap converters that won’t show through the back of your cute, skin-revealing outfit.

Detailed, Quick-Dry Sports Bra For Warmer Days

Full Tilt Sport Lattice Back Sports Bra (Sizes XS-M), $20, Amazon

If you enjoy joining up with outdoor running clubs in your neighborhood or bootcamp workouts at the local park, you’ll want a cute and reliable sports bra that you can rock on its own, or can be worn underneath a workout top. This one’s lattice back detail mixed with active support and a quick-dry fabric makes it the ultimate cool and practical sports bra to keep you killin’ it during your workout. Bonus: This bra is even machine washable, so you can easily have it clean for whenever you want to break a sweat.

Stick-On Silicone Bra For Barely-There Lift

Tidetell® Silicone Invisible Push-up Bra (Sizes A-DD), $4-$12, Amazon

These adhesive push-up cups are reusable, easy to apply, and work great on larger cup sizes that want lift without settling for a bra that shows under more revealing outfits. According to users, the cups are comfortable and the adhesive holds up — even in warmer temperatures. Bonus: The cups feature a convenient front closure detail, and you can select the thickness of material that you prefer (from normal thickness to double thickness).

Criss-Cross Detail Bralette For V-Back Tanks

ToBeInStyle Stretchy Intricate Detail Bra (Sizes XS-L), $15-$25, Amazon

One of my favorite ways to show skin is by wearing tops with a low, V-cut back. But anyone who’s worn one of these tops knows you can’t just throw on any regular bra underneath — you’ll want to add one with a fun detail that adds a thoughtful touch without being uncomfortable. This wire-free detailed bralette is tagless for added comfort, and it offers just the right amount of seamless support without padding. You can even choose from 17 other variants of style and color, too — including a festival-ready ivory crochet triangle top.

Convertible Bra With Tech-Savvy Cup For Cooling Support

Maidenform Genius Convertible Bra with Coolform (Sizes 34C-40D), $19-$41, Amazon

This full coverage bra uses smart cup technology to lift and shape at the bottom of your cup all the way the area under your arms. The power band in the back keeps the bra in place (no matter what you have on your schedule for the day), so you’ll never have to pass on the opportunity to wear a cute strapless top or dress again. One user calls this the best strapless bra she owns because it doesn’t cut across the chest to create that obvious strapless bra outline. Bonus: This bra can be worn with straps, too, for when you want a little more support.

Lacey Underwire Bralette For Summer Boho Outfits

Free People Galloon Lace Racerback Crop Bra (Sizes XS-L), $36, Amazon

This dreamy lace bra is the perfect layering piece for underneath a flowy, boho summer dress. Unlike most bralettes, this one features a supportive underwire and thick durable straps that will hold up for bigger cup sizes. The floral lace fabric is stretchy and has an extra mesh lining to give you additional coverage. You’ll love throwing this on underneath all of your laid-back pieces, even a simple white V-neck — giving the whole look an instant touch of style.

Push-Up Sports Bra For Active Day Trips

Eyelet Push Up Sports Bra (1X-3X Plus), $12, Amazon

You just picked up a cute new athletic top for your day trip to an amusement park with your squad. This plunging, push-up sports bra is great for underneath your top and gives full support and natural lift to larger cup sizes. It also features cute eyelet details on the straps and on the back of the bra, so you won’t mind wearing it by itself when the sun really starts to get hot. Bonus: It’s safe for machine washing, so you can simply throw it in with your laundry when you’re tired at the end of the day.

Halter, Wire-Free Bralette for Layering Necklines

ToBeInStyle Stretchy Intricate Detail Bra (Sizes XS-L), $15-$25, Amazon

Halter tops and dresses are on the rise again, so the time is right for getting one of these comfortable lace halter bralettes into your bra drawer. The stretchy material is unpadded and wire-free, and it has a traditional durable back closure that won’t un-hook beneath your outfit. With pretty lace, you won’t mind if this bralette peeks out. Pro Tip: Hand wash this piece to keep the lace feeling soft and looking brand new.

Stretchy Bralette With Front Detail For Slouchy Tops

Luna Flower Stretch Seamless Cut Out (Sizes S-L), $5, Amazon

For anything from a slouchy workout top to a pretty low-front tee, this stretchy bra gives you a cute front detail that adds coverage without sacrificing style. This bra is completely seamless and not padded, so it’s great for girls with a smaller cup size who don’t need as much support. Users love this bra for its stretchable comfort and fashionable fit — plus, you can pick your preferred color from 28 different options!

The accessories that could make a bride look incredibly well

23 Feb 2016 Posted by trubridal in Wedding Accessories

It’s not a secret that even the smallest accessory could make you look amazing, but only if it’s appropriately combined with your clothing. Very fashionable are the flowers in the hair which give tenderness and grace to your appearance. The single colored or multiple colored headbands decorated with crystals and flowers could make you look perfect. These accessories could be also worn after the wedding day.

Useful advices for the bride’s veil:

1. The color of the veil should go well with the dress. Do not choose an ivory veil if your dress is white. Even if the color difference seems minimal to you, it will not look well. The white color depends on the material which is used, that’s why you should be careful even if you are going to get a white veil for a white dress.

2. The decoration on the veil should also go well with the decoration on the dress. For example, if the dress is decorated with pearls, the veil should be decorated with pearls too.

3. Conform the veil’s length to your personal figure. The tall ladies could wear any lengths, but it’s important for the shorter ones to choose a shorter veil. A two layer veil and a lifted hair are appropriate for the shorter brides. This way they could look optically taller. In case you are taller than the groom, you should avoid elongated hairstyles and long veils.

4. When you choose a veil and a tiara, make sure that you could handle their weight. Be aware of the fact that you are going to wear them for a long time. These accessories are being attached to the head with combs. If they are too heavy, they could ruin your hairstyle, which could lead to ruining your mood too.

5. If you are going to wear a luscious veil, but you think that you wouldn’t handle it through the whole wedding, you should get one that could be taken off any time you want. This way, you could leave only your tiara on your head and feel more comfortable while you dance for example.

6. Another thing that should be taken into consideration while choosing a veil is the tiara. It should go well with the dress too. If the wedding is more official, the tiara should be more spectacular. If the ceremony is more informal and simple, the tiara should be more simple and elegant too.

7. You should also decide where exactly to place the veil. If it’s going to be attached to the back of your head, it should look simpler and weigh less. A tiara that is going to stay on top of your head could be more decorated and weigh more. Do not forget that all these accessories are being attached with combs and hairpins.
