Getting ready in the morning, no one actually has time to try a brand new hairstyle before they run out the door–if you’re that daring, then you’re the one stuck finishing the rest of your makeup on your commute due to the multiple failed fishtail braid attempts. Most of us stick to a rotating set of three styles (okay, four if you’re really good) just because finding the time to figure out how to wrap your hair into one of those sock donuts or mastering the task of a milkmaid braid just seems pretty impossible. But, cute hairstyles don’t have to take a lot of time–or effort.
From messy top knots to braided buns, all that these cute hairstyles require is 10 minutes of time (and a little bit of braid ability) to get you looking fantastic when you’re in a rush.
.Leaving your bangs out, wrap a headscarf up into a headband, then tuck in the excess hair in the back.
.For an easy and quick style, pull your hair into a high ponytail and loosely wrap it around itself, making sure to keep the ends tucked in. This results in a petite little ballerina bun on the top of your head. Spray with hairspray to battle flyaways.
.This awesome dutch braid is actually quite simple–just created an inverted braid on both sides of your head, connect them once you reach the nape of your neck, and then twist the single braid up into a bun. The messier the bun, the better.
.For those with natural texture, an “easy” hairstyle is an understatement. This sleek, super-sized bun is a go-to, but getting it right is all in the products.
.This five minute low bun works both for running errands and attending weddings (it’s the jack-of-all-trades hairstyle), and you can actually do it in five minutes. Put your hair into a low ponytail at the back of your head, then loop hair around the base and tuck ends in with a bobby pin. Simple!
.This center-parted, tightly tucked low bun is an easy yet sleek cute hairstyle for every day. Just make sure to pull it taut and keep your ponytail low to the nape of the neck.
.It may take a little work, but this twisted hairstyle is so worth it. Make sure to add texture to your hair first, to ensure that it will hold. Then, section into two pieces on either side of your head and twist each section back, haphazardly pinning as you go.
.The messy, textured wave is all anyone wants to achieve–but if you have stick-straight hair, it can be hard. The trick is to use a flatiron to put a slide bend in your hair instead of a curling iron, so that you don’t end up with a full-on glamour curl.
.For a bedhead messy bun, loosely pull hair into a ponytail and when securing with a hair tie, don’t pull the loop of hair entirely through on the last twist. Then, pull out a few wispy, face-framing pieces at the front.
.To make a simple ponytail look sophisticated, tease hair at the root before starting, and make sure the rest of your strands are super straight. Then, leave some face-framing pieces out to fall as they may.
